Hi. I’m Rochelle.
I’ve had a very interesting life so far, all because I was a mindless spender. I’ve been a money moron ever since I can remember so I’m not really sure if I did the right things financially. In my twenties, I thought I had time and didn’t need to worry about stuff like savings and budgeting.
It wasn’t until I hit my thirties that I kicked my butt into gear and started getting really serious about my finances. The paralyzing fear about my future while drowning in student debt made me realize I needed to take care of myself. Up until then, I didn’t have a good relationship with money and didn’t know how to manage it.
After studying a little bit, I realized that there’s a lot of things that I really don’t know about personal finances.
Hence the title of this blog. I feel like maybe I’ve righted the ship a little bit. Even with that small bit of knowledge, though, I feel ready to steam forward into the future. My goal is to assume that I don’t know everything: that I am a moron who needs to keep learning. I want to prove to myself that it’s not too late correct the mistakes I’ve made when I was younger. I need to show myself that no matter how old you are, it’s not too late to better yourself and achieve the goals you want to accomplish.
Thanks for stopping by.
